If you are pursuing an IT career or into IT, then I suggest that you should take some time reading this. I got this source from www.computerworld.com - May 2007
1. Cobol - Common Business Oriented Language
Any of you guys used this language? Not me!
2. Nonrelational DBMS (Database Management System)
Who needs a Non RDBMS anyway? (Go Oracle!)
3. Non-IP Networks (Internet Protocol)
Time will come that even rice cookers have an IP addresses!
4. cc:Mail
Never heard that one before.
5. ColdFusion
Never learned that language anyway. (Go Java!)
6. C Programming
What? No-way! This is mainly because the native C language is not an object oriented language. (Go Java!)
7. PowerBuilder
Have not been to PowerBuilder development. No comments! (Go Java!)
8. Certified NetWare Engineers
Have not been to Networking. No comments!
9. PC Network Administrators
Bye, bye
10. OS/2
Never seen OS/2 before. Have you?
So if you think your skills belong to the list mentioned above then you better decide now or sooner. The Boat is Sinking!

Posted by liz at June 20, 2007, 7:51 pmLiz,
C++ is object oriented unlike C. C++ is fast and efficient in fact it is a lot faster than Java. So I think there is still a bright future for C++ developers in the years to come.

Posted by neolle at June 21, 2007, 8:32 amyeah, C programming is pretty old. but this language is such a strong foundation to my programming knowledge.
Posted by kat at June 21, 2007, 9:57 pmI agree Kat, in fact most powerful languages inherit their construction from C. This includes C++, Java, C#, Visual C++ and more….
